Initially established as a studio gallery for the renowned local artist Charles Cham, the The Orang Utan House now exclusively sells witty T-shirts and small canvas artworks from the artist. "How witty?" You ask; well, expect to see taglines such as ‘I’m Hot’ with a picture of red chillies, and while you ponder which one to buy and take home, keep in mind that these shirts also come in little kids’ sizes, so you really have no excuse not to buy a set for the whole family!

Pineapple tarts have long been one of Nyonya’s specialties, and here in Jonker Walk, one can find numerous bakeries baking these circular-shaped sweets. Completely handmade and fresh out of the oven, LW Nyonya Pineapple Tarts House is one of the most famous outlets, and might we say, the most innovative in their pineapple tart-baking art. In 2004, they baked the largest pineapple tart in Malaysia and won themselves a spot in the Malaysian Book of Records, and if you’re curious about the tart, it now sits right at the entrance of the shop. With prices as low as RM7 for a pack of 20 tarts, we recommend you try some, but be warned, they might get addictive!

Jonker Walk is known to be a treasure trove for antique lovers, but if you have time to visit only one shop, make it the Abdul Company Antique Shop. Here, you can find rare items such as vintage grandfather clocks and precious porcelain plates, and while items are reasonably priced, the owner is up for still up for bargaining, so you’ll be guaranteed a great deal. As one of the oldest antique shops in the vicinity, Abdul Antique is also the biggest, owning two other branches also in Jonker Walk, so there is plenty of unusual memorabilia and one-of-a-kind finds for you to sift through.
