The dimly-lit yet elegant Baba House – a collection of four colonial shop-houses located along Jalan Tun Cheng Lock – is a three-star venture that has cosy and comfortable accommodation units with basic in-room amenities. Only a stone’s throw away from the renowned Jonker Street, the recently-renovated establishment has beautiful tile work, heavily-embellished hardwood furniture and engraved panels but rooms are windowless and not as glitzy. There’s air conditioning, IDD phones, colour TVs with cable channels, coffee and tea-making facilities and attached bathrooms.
